home :: Dokumente :: Snippets :: snippet_synChFolderDate.html Sonntag, 18 September 2011Shell script to change Modification date of bundles on MacOSXMac Standalone applications created with Adobe Director 11 or later do not have the modification date of the day, the application was published. The reason is: The bundle, which is a folder with a few never changing files and with your movie files, is copied from a template. It will always have the modification date from this template, as the folder itself is not changed. The solution is to use the touch command line tool to change the modification date of the folder (what the Adobe engineers should have done in the first place...) I made a simple shellscript in order to automate that tedious task. What it does is simply setting the modification date of the folder/app to the latest modification date of any contained file recursively. Find it here: http://www.farbflash.org/director/tools/synchFolderDate or even better open your terminal and type the following: In order to use it, type in your terminal:
Instead of typing the UPDATE: I made a droppable application out of the above script. You can now just drag and drop folders onto that application. Download it here: http://www.farbflash.org/director/tools/synchFolderDate.cpgz and unstuff it by doubleclicking it. Add comment | /Dokumente/Snippets | permanent link |
