Changes:

Purpose:

• This is a very rudimentary replacement for Valentin Schmidts great shell xtra. Until he releases a D11 version I use this interim version for my various authoring tools.
  BUT...
  It is only for my personal use in authoring. It doesn't do any unicode trickery or the like and it does only have one single handler to execute a shell command and return a list.
  
  It may very well work in many cases, but I am not convinced, that I would use it myself in a real project as it simply is a quick and dirty hack and I do know very, very few about xtras programming and c-programming in general.
  So be aware, that this xtra is not properly tested!

Requirements:

• Director 11 for Mac (For windows you can use Valentin Schmidts original shell xtra)

Installation:

• Download and unstuff
  
  
• Move the file "ff_shell.xtra" to your Director Xtras folder. (Director application folder -> Configuration -> Xtras)
  
  
• Restart Director

Usage:

• In the archive is an .ls file with a wrapper to use my ff_shell xtra with the same syntax you use for Valentin Schmidts shell xtra.
  
  

Notes:

• IMPORTANT NOTE!
  This xtra is not properly tested nor does it handle unicode strings!
